voice4comfort.com for children and adults.

All recordings are in Ukraine. The first four recordings are also in English.

This website is for everybody from Ukraine who needs some comfort and stress reduction. We have created free audio exercises with guided imagery for both adults and children to help manage feelings of stress and anxiety.
There are also exercises to help sleep better.

By listening daily to one of these audio recordings, you will learn how to help yourself to relax, feel more powerful and sleep better.

Please note that you should listen to the recordings only if nothing else needs your full attention, like driving a car.

The website has been created by a Dutch group of healthcare professionals: two medical doctors, a nurse specialist, a psychologist and a medical (hypno)therapist, www.skills4comfort.nl in collaboration with Ukrainian translators. Contributing to the project: Michael Yapko, Jody Thomas, Bob Deutsch, Lisa Lombard. Music composed by Niels Geusebroek and Peter Harper.

Instructions:

  • Adults might enjoy the children’s audio exercises as well.
  • The audio exercises for children are suitable for ages 5 and older. It is advised for children to listen together with an adult the first few times.
  • Create some space for yourself! Let other people know you’d like not to be bothered for the next 20 minutes or so.
  • You can sit down, lay down, or listen in any position you like. Just find a spot that is comfortable for you right now.
  • You can use headphones or play the audio out loud, whichever it most comfortable for you. Most people find that listening on headphones is better for them, especially if they are in a place where other people are around. Headphones can help block out the outside world, and let people know you’d prefer not to be bothered.
  • Remember that you can just pay attention to ideas that help you, and let the rest just float away!
